For candle & soap makers

Inventory and sales tracking for candle and soap makers

From pour day to the booth.

You make in batches, sell in scents and sizes, and run bundle deals at the booth. TentTally is built around exactly that — no retail software to bend into shape.

Built for how you make and sell

  • Batches, not single units

Log each pour as a production batch and your stock goes up; every sale brings it back down. Set a batch size, and the packing list rounds its suggestions up to full batches.

  • Scents and sizes, organized

Each scent-and-size is its own product with its own stock and margin. Product Groups keep them under one tile at checkout — tap Lavender, pick 8oz.

  • Know your cost per candle

Price wax, wicks, jars, and fragrance once as materials, add them to each product by quantity, and your cost per unit adds itself up.

  • Soap bundle deals

Set "3 for $20" on your whole Soap category and TentTally suggests it when a customer's mix of bars qualifies — no booth math.

Example: what one 8oz candle costs you

Price each material once — per ounce of wax, per wick, per jar — then add them to the product by quantity. TentTally adds them up into the candle's cost, and shows your margin against its $18 price.

Questions

Can I see which scents sell best?
Yes. Best Sellers ranks every scent and size, the profit report shows what each earns, and the category report totals candles against soaps.
How do I handle wedding favors or bulk orders?
Log them as custom orders with the customer's details, a deposit, and a due date. For products you track stock on, you can reserve units for the order, so your available count reflects what's already spoken for.
Can TentTally track soap that's still curing?
Not as a separate stage. Most soapers log a batch when the bars are cured and ready to sell, so the stock count only includes what you can actually bring to market.
