Multi-buy deals

"3 for $10" pricing, calculated at checkout

Bundle deals without the mental math.

Bundle deals move product at markets — but working out mixed carts with a line at the booth is where mistakes happen. Set the deal once, and TentTally does the math at checkout.

How it works

  1. Set up the deal

Choose a quantity and a deal price — say, 3 for $10 — and what it covers: one product, a product group, or a whole category like all your greeting cards.

  2. TentTally spots it at checkout

When a cart in the Order Builder qualifies, TentTally suggests the deal. It's never applied without a tap from you.

  3. The sale is recorded at the deal price

Revenue, profit, and tax reports all reflect what the customer actually paid — including card sales taken with Charge with Square.

The details

  • Mix and match: a category or group deal counts any combination of the items it covers, and extras ring up at their regular price.
  • If more than one deal could apply, TentTally shows you the options instead of picking one for you.
  • A customer never pays more than the regular price because of a deal — TentTally won't save one that can never be a discount.
  • Deals and manual discounts never stack: to discount a line that's in a deal, you remove the deal first.
  • Pause a deal without deleting it, and turn it back on whenever you like.

Example

Your greeting cards are $4 each, with a deal of 3 for $10 on the Cards category. A customer brings four different cards to the booth. TentTally suggests the deal; you tap to accept, and your reports record exactly what they paid.

Questions

Do deals work with card payments?
Yes. Whether you take the card on your own reader or with Charge with Square, the sale is recorded at the deal price.
Can I run different deals at different markets?
Deals aren't tied to a market, but you can pause one and turn it back on whenever you like — for example, turning a holiday bundle on for December and off afterward.
What happens if I edit a deal in the middle of a market day?
Carts that already accepted the deal keep the terms they were offered; new carts get the updated deal.
