How it works

  1. Invite by email

    From Settings → Team, enter their email and pick a role: Cashier for booth help, Member for a partner who runs the business with you.

  2. They set up their own login

    The invitation link is good for 7 days. Your helper creates their own password — no sharing yours.

  3. They land on the sale screen

    A Cashier opens straight into the Order Builder, ready to ring up carts, and every sale they record shows their name in your Sales Log.

What each role can do

  • Owner (you): everything, including account settings and managing the team.
  • Member: full day-to-day access — products, inventory, markets, reports — but can't change account or team settings.
  • Cashier: the Order Builder and their own profile, nothing else — no dashboard, reports, product list, or market setup.
  • Cashiers can still accept multi-buy deals and take card payments with Charge with Square.
  • Costs and margins aren't just hidden from a cashier's screen — TentTally's server never sends them to a cashier's login at all.
  • Remove someone and their access ends right away; change a role any time.

Questions

Can I see which sales my helper rang up?
Yes. Every sale records who rang it up, and your Sales Log shows their name next to the sales they recorded.
What happens if I change someone's role in the middle of a market?
It takes effect on their next action, and they'll see a notice that their access changed — so a quick switch from Member to Cashier doesn't need them to log out.
Is there anything to set up before I invite someone?
Just verify your own email address. Invitations go out by email, and until one is accepted you can resend it, change its role, or revoke it.
